BYU Football Team Reports To Camp With New Gear

PROVO, Utah – BYU football is back in action.
The 2025 BYU football team reported to campus on Tuesday to kick off fall camp.
As tradition on report day, players were greeted with new gear in preparation for practices beginning on Wednesday morning.
BYU football’s official X account released a video with freshman defensive end Hunter Clegg showing off the gear haul the players received.

- Gray cotton t-shirt that says, “Rise & Shout”

New Director of Football Equipment
BYU has a new Director of Football Equipment Operations entering the 2025 season. Josh Weir will oversee the equipment operations for the football program and the Mick Hill and Floyd Johnson Equipment Room at the Student Athlete Building.
Weir replaces Josh Hewitt, who left to become the director of equipment operations for the UNLV Rebels.
Hewitt was the Director of Football Equipment at BYU for the past three seasons.
BYU football kicks off fall camp practices on Wednesday, July 30. The Cougars, who finished the 2024 campaign with an 11-2 record, will open the 2025 season against Portland State on August 30 in Provo.
