TV Info, Kickoff Times Revealed For Four BYU Football Games In 2025

ORLANDO, Fla. – The release of kickoff times and TV information is another sign that BYU football is nearing.
Television networks held their annual early-season TV selection drafts earlier this month. Now, we have the final TV decisions.

Four of BYU’s games on the 2025 football schedule received kickoff times and TV info.
The television designations were announced on Thursday, the same day that Big 12 football coaches were gathering in Orlando for the Big 12 Spring Business Meetings.
BYU football is entering its third year as a member of the Big 12 Conference. All BYU home games are under the Big 12 television contract, which includes television rights with ESPN, FOX, and TNT Sports.
All games that did not receive a kickoff or television time in the 2025 season will be subject to a 12- or six-day television selection.
BYU vs. Portland State
Saturday, August 30, 2025
Kickoff Time: 6 p.m. (MT)
TV designation: ESPN+
For the second year in a row, BYU football will open its season against an FCS opponent. Like last season, BYU will kick things off on ESPN+.

Big 12 teams get to choose the kickoff time for games that air on ESPN+.
The last time BYU football hosted Portland State was in 2017 in Provo.

TV designation: ESPN
In week two, BYU will take on the Stanford Cardinal in a late-night ESPN spot. The Cardinal are traveling to Provo for the first time since 2003.

BYU at Colorado

TV designation: ESPN
The rematch of the Alamo Bowl will take place this fall in Boulder. It will serve as BYU’s Big 12 opener for the 2025 season.
Colorado enters year three under Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders. He will be without quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy-winning star Travis Hunter.

West Virginia makes its first-ever trip to Provo this fall, and it will occur in a late-night Friday spot. The kickoff will be at 10:30 p.m. local time in Morgantown.
BYU is 0-2 all-time against the Mountaineers, with one of those meetings taking place when the Cougars joined the Big 12 Conference two years ago.
The 2025 season marks the return of head coach Rich Rodriguez to the Country Roads for West Virginia.
