BYU Football’s Chase Roberts, Will Ferrin Earn Preseason Big 12 Accolades

The 2025 Preseason All-Big 12 Team and awards were announced on Monday, and two BYU Football players were honored with spots on the team.
Wide receiver Chase Roberts and kicker Will Ferrin were named to the offense.

Roberts is a redshirt senior in his fifth year with the Cougars. Ferrin is also a redshirt senior, and he is in his third year with the program.
Chase Roberts: All-Big 12 Preseason WR
Roberts was a team captain and was named to the All-Big 12 third team by both College Football Network and Phil Steele in 2024.
The Highland, Utah native recorded 52 receptions for 854 yards and four touchdowns in his junior campaign. He led the team in all three of those stat categories for the season.
Roberts has played in 28 games in his college career and totaled 85 receptions for 1,266 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Will Ferrin: All-Big 12 Preseason K
Ferrin was also a captain and received numerous honors for his performance in 2024. He was named the Big 12 Co-Special Teams Player of the Year, Big 12 Kicker of the Year by the College Football Network, and was named to the All-Big 12 First Team.
In 2024, Ferrin sealed the victory over rival Utah with a 44-yard, game-winning field goal, nailed a career-long 54-yarder against Baylor, and set the BYU single-season field goals made record with 24.
He finished the season 24/27 on field goals and a perfect 41/41 on extra points.
