Utah Jazz Lose Steam Late In Defeat To Spurs

SALT LAKE CITY- The Utah Jazz looked to notch their first win in the group stage of the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup as they took on Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs at Delta Center.

Despite a 26-point performance from Keyonte George in which he made six three-pointers, the Jazz were unable to close as the Spurs pulled away thanks to eight offensive rebounds in the fourth quarter.

Utah and San Antonio were in a tight battle until late in the game when the Jazz were unable to get stops, and matters only got worse when Lauri Markkanen left the game with a left knee contusion.

Ultimately, the Utah Jazz fell to the San Antonio Spurs by a score of 128-115, and will have to quickly regroup as they welcome the Denver Nuggets into town tomorrow night at Delta Center.
