SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz announced their four-game preseason schedule ahead of the 2021-22 NBA season on Tuesday morning.

They will begin preseason action on Monday, October 4 against the San Antonio Spurs at AT&T Center at 6:30 p.m. MT. Then they will stay in the Lonestar state and face the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, October 6 at American Airlines Center at 6 p.m. MT.

After the two-game trip to Texas, the Jazz will come back to Salt Lake City and host the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday, October 11 at 7 p.m. MT. They will wrap up preseason on Wednesday, October 13 against the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks at 7 p.m. MT.

During the offseason, the Spurs signed Doug McDermott after trading away DeMar DeRozan. Rudy Gay left the team and joined the Utah Jazz. Trey Lyles is heading to Detroit and Patty Mills is a member of the Brooklyn Nets.

The Spurs drafted Joshua Primo from Alabama with the 12th pick in the NBA Draft. They also selected Iowa guard Joe Wieskamp with their second round pick, 41st overall.

Dallas brought back some solid pieces including a max extension for Luka Doncic. They also re-signed Boban Marjanovic and Tim Hardaway Jr. The Mavericks brought in Reggie Bullock from the New York Knicks. Dallas did not make a selection in the NBA Draft.

The Pelicans lost Lonzo Ball in a sign-and-trade deal and James Johnson went to Brooklyn. They were able to sign Garrett Temple during free agency.

In the draft, New Orleans traded Ziaire Williams, the 10th overall pick to the Memphis Grizzlies. They took Alabama swingman Herbert Jones with the 35th overall pick.

Milwaukee has re-signed Bobby Portis so far in free agency. Jeff Teague, Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Bryn Forbes are free agents. P.J. Tucker has signed with the Miami Heat.
