SALT LAKE CITY- The Utah Jazz are stretched a little thin with six key pieces to their roster out tonight against the Nets, including Lauri Markkanen, Keyonte George, and Walker Kessler.
One Jazzman who was asked to step up in the others’ absence was Svi Mykhailiuk, the former Kansas Jayhawk out of Ukraine.
Mykhailiuk is coming off a 13-point performance last night against the Suns. He was 6-15 in 19 minutes. However, it looks like last night was an indication of things to come as he had five points in the first quarter alone against Brooklyn.
One of his buckets was a highlight-reel-worthy cross-up that came at the 2:42 mark. Mykhailiuk was being guarded by Tosan Evbuomwan on the right wing and Svi was lulling him to sleep with some smooth ball handling.
After putting the ball between his legs a few times, he stepped back as if to attempt a shot, but Evbuomawan bit, so Svi put the ball on the floor with his left hand, leaving his defender in the dust before pulling up and knocking down the mid-range jumper.

Jazz Face Quick Turnaround Against Nets Tomorrow
After facing the Suns, the Jazz will return home to host the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday evening.
Brooklyn travels to Utah on the second night of a six-game Western Conference road swing.
The Nets opened the difficult stretch with a 124-105 loss in Denver on Friday night before making stops in Utah and Portland, facing both the Clippers and Lakers in Los Angeles, before closing the trip in Oklahoma City against the West-leading Thunder.
After a 9-10 start to the season, the Nets are just 4-15 in their last 19 games.
Heading into Sunday’s matchup, the Jazz are 3.5 games back of the Nets in the lottery standings.
