SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert nearly had a triple double as they beat the Chicago Bulls 120-95 on Monday night in the Windy City.

Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 30 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the three-point line. Joe Ingles (17) and Jordan Clarkson (16) combined for 33 points off the bench. Zach LaVine led the Bulls with 27 points and 7 rebounds. Thaddeus Young chipped in 14 points.

Joe Ingles Sparks Big Run To Give Jazz Double Digit Lead In First Half Vs. Bulls

The first quarter was mainly even until the final three minutes when the Jazz made a big run. The run started with a jumpshot by Jordan Clarkson to tie the game at 23 with 2:14 left in the first quarter.

Then Joe Ingles made his second three-pointer of the night and the first of the run. After Clarkson made three free throws, the first quarter ended with Utah up 29-23. The Jazz kept the run going into the second quarter when Ingles set up Gobert for a layup before knocking down his third triple of the game. About 30 seconds later, Ingles hit another triple, forcing Bulls head coach Billy Donovan to call a timeout as the Jazz went up 37-23.

Georges Niang set up Rudy Gobert for a dunk to make it a 19-0 run and a 39-23 lead with 9:13 left in the second quarter. Thaddeus Young scored a layup to end the run.

Ingles had 12 points for the game in 10 minutes on the floor. He hit a three-pointer just before the run since Zach LaVine hit a triple. The Jazz went on to outscore the Bulls 27-19 in the second quarter and took a 56-42 lead at halftime. Donovan Mitchell led the way with 21 points in 17 minutes, including 4-of-6 shooting from the three-point line. Zach LaVine had 13 points in the first half.

The Jazz went on to hold the Bulls to below 30 points in both the third and fourth quarters. An impressive defensive effort as they were on the last game of a long road trip.
