Report: NBA Will Name Orlando Bubble MVP, All-Bubble Team

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The NBA plans to recognize the best player within Disney World Orlando Bubble according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. The league will also honor an All-Seeding Games Team within the bubble similar to a traditional All-NBA team named during the league’s regular offseason. The restart of the season featured 22 teams, each playing eight games to decide the final standings of the NBA playoffs.

Each team within the NBA bubble competed in eight seeding games which will conclude on Friday. The eighth and ninth-seeded in the Western Conference will compete in a play-in tournament beginning Saturday to determine the final member of the eight-team playoffs.
Favorites to be Named to All-Bubble Team
There have been several breakout stars within the NBA bubble. Some of the league’s traditional names are favorites to be listed on the All-Seeding roster, though others may be a surprise.
James Harden (Houston), Luka Doncic (Dallas), Damian Lillard (Portland), and Giannis Antetokounmpo should be considered near locks to be named to the team. Each player is averaging better than 30 points per game in the bubble, while their teams have been successful in maintaining or improving their playoff positioning.

Indiana Pacers forward TJ Warren may be the name that surprises most fans who have not been following the return of the league. Warren is averaging a staggering 31 points per game during the restart, including a bubble-best 53 point outing against the Philadelphia 76ers, including nine made three-pointers.
Phoenix’s Devin Booker may be the favorite to be named Player of the Seeding Games. The guard has led the Suns to a perfect 6-0 record in Orlando and has moved from the 13th seed in the Western Conference into 10th, and in contention for the play-in tournament.

Los Angeles Clippers Kawhi Leonard will also get consideration for the All-Seeding Games team.
The NBA’s seeding game portion of the schedule concludes on Friday. The play-in tournament int he Western Conference begins Saturday and will be followed by the NBA playoffs beginning Monday.
