Report: Fans Will Be Updated On NBA Ticket Policy Monday

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Fans may soon be getting an update on the NBA ticket policy according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The reporter tweeted that the league’s franchises will begin the process starting Monday.
“Beginning Monday, NBA teams are advising fans of their ticket refund and credit policies due to the suspended regular season, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.”
The league has yet to cancel games as it continues to finalize plans about the remainder of the season. Currently, the NBA is debating whether or not it can return to action at some point this summer.

Though updating fans on the ticket policy doesn’t guarantee the cancellation of games, fulfilling the remaining schedule would be difficult. If the league can return this season it will likely do so on an abbreviated schedule. Furthermore, some teams may not return to action at all should the league jump straight into playoff basketball.
Utah Jazz And The NBA Ticket Policy
The Utah Jazz updated fans on their ticket policy soon after suspending the season. The team was offering refunds for individual game tickets that were not played. Additionally, the Jazz planned to honor tickets already purchased to games assuming they were rescheduled.
Season-ticket holders would also have their seats honored. However, tickers would be credited for next season or refunded upon request.

Ticket holders should not expect to see games in person this season. If the league can return it’s likely game will be played in front of empty arenas. Furthermore, NBA teams won’t have true home games for the foreseeable future.
One city with multiple arenas will host the remaining NBA schedule if the season can be completed this summer. Orlando’s Disney Resorts and Las Vegas are the cities most likely to host the teams if the NBA can return.
