Battle in Sactown
The Jazz got off to a solid start in the River City and were going back-and-forth with the Kings throughout the opening quarter. Near the end of the first quarter, things flipped in favor of Sacramento on a foul review that resulted in the Jazz forward Joe Ingles being ejected from the contest. With 1:36 to go until the second quarter, Ingles slightly undercut Kings guard Davion Mitchell on a dunk attempt by the rookie near the end of the quarter. Officials reviewed the play and assessed a flagrant two penalty on Ingles and sent him to the locker room for the rest of the game.

Over the next 12 minutes of game time, Sacramento outscored Utah by four points and took a 52-46 lead into the halftime break.
The Jazz battled back during the opening quarter of the second half thanks to Donovan Mitchell.

Sacramento battled Utah into the final quarter of action before the Jazz were able to pull away.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Utah head coach Quin Snyder had his starters on the floor and the five players helped put the clamps down a Jazz victory.
With 3:33 left to play, Gobert deflected a ball on defense, ran the length of the floor, and slammed the ball on an alley-oop from Royce O’Neale to give the Jazz a four-point lead to separate the teams on the scoreboard for good.
