LOS ANGELES, California – The Utah Jazz will be without Mike Conley for the fourth consecutive game when they face the Los Angeles Clippers in game four of their Western Conference Semifinal series.

Conley has missed the last three games after reaggravating a prior hamstring injury in the Jazz’s game five close-out victory over the Memphis Grizzlies nearly two weeks ago.

The Jazz had listed Conley as questionable on Sunday before game four but ruled the guard out Monday morning.

The veteran originally suffered the injury in February and has since reaggravated the injury twice in the last three months. Conley missed six games in February, then missed an additional nine games in late April and early May.

Joe Ingles has started in Conley’s place and done a more than admirable job. The guard is averaging 19 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists while shooting a staggering 62 percent from the floor and 60 percent from the three-point line.

However, pulling Ingles from the bench has destabilized the second unit, as the Jazz have been outscored by 34 points in reserve guard Jordan Clarkson’s 86 minutes on the floor through the first three games.

“We’ll be excited to get him back,” guard Donovan Mitchell said of Conley’s absence. “But in the time being, while we’re going, we’ve got to understand that we have a job to do and we’ve got to go out there and fulfill it.”

With the soonest Conley could return now being pushed back to Wednesday’s game five, the guard will have missed an additional two full weeks of play away from the team.

That’s the same amount of time he missed when he first injured his hamstring in February, and four days fewer than when he reaggravated it in late April.

The Jazz and Clippers tip-off at 8 pm MT. The game will be broadcast on TNT.
