NEW YORK, N. Y. – The Utah Jazz controlled the New York Knicks during the first 24 minutes of game time led by productive play by Jazzmen Bojan Bogdanovic, Donovan Mitchell, and Rudy Gobert.

The Jazz played against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, March 4.

Utah took a 64-54 lead into the locker room at halftime of its game against the Knicks thanks for excellent minutes from Bogdanovic, Mitchell, and Gobert.

Bogdanovic and Mitchell combined for 33 points during the first two quarters of play to carry Utah’s offense.

In 17 minutes on the floor, Bogdanovic led the Jazz in scoring with 17 points. The Jazz forward shot 5-7 from the field including 3-4 from three. He went 4-5 from the charity stripe. Bogdanovic added 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and a block.

Mitchell added 16 points on 6-13 shooting despite going 0-3 from distance. He went 4-4 from the free-throw line. Mitchell recorded 1 rebound, 5 assists, and a steal in 17 minutes.

Gobert scored 8 points and pulled down 8 rebounds during his first 17 minutes on the court. He shot 4-5 on field goals. The Jazz center added 1 assist and a block in the first half.

Bogdanovic and Gobert led the Jazz were first half plus-minus ratings of +19. Mitchell posted a +18 rating during his time on the floor.

The Jazz didn’t trail the Knicks during opening half of play.

Utah finished the first half shooting 54.8 percent overall and 38.9 percent from beyond the arc.

The Knicks shot 48.8 percent on field goals including 33.3 percent from deep.

Bobby Portis led New York with 19 points off the bench. Julius Randle led the Knicks’ starting lineup with 17 points.
