SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz ended their frustrating four-game losing streak by picking up a 129-119 win over the Washington Wizards to end their five-game homestand.

Donovan Mitchell led the surge with 30 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists on 9-21 field goal shooting and 4-6 from the three-point line. He passed former Jazzman Mehmet Okur for sixth on the all-time three-point makes list in franchise history.

It’s his fourth straight game of scoring 30 points or more in a game. He had 31 points in the loss to the Houston Rockets, 38 against the Phoenix Suns and 37 points against the Boston Celtics. This stretch is the longest of Mitchell’s career. His previous best was last season.

After a poor shooting performance in the loss to the Celtics, Bojan Bogdanovic bounced back with 21 points and 3 assists while knocking down 7 of his 17 field goal attempts and going 4-9 from beyond the arc.

Mike Conley chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.

Jazz Bench Came To Play

Utah received a massive boost from their bench even though just four players appeared off the bench. Jordan Clarkson led the second unit with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists on 9-17 shooting and knocked down two of his four attempts from the perimeter.

In his second game since returning to the bench, Joe Ingles contributed 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

Tony Bradley had 9 points and 7 rebounds including his first ever three-pointer made that he knocked down in the first quarter.

Georges Niang posted 6 points on 2-3 from downtown.

As a team, Utah had 54 rebounds but none of the Jazz players had double digit rebounds.

Wizards Lose Despite Beal’s Big Game

Washington star guard Bradley Beal did everything he could to will his team to a win but it wasn’t enough. Beal finished with 42 points and 10 assists along with six 3-pointers made in 41 minutes. He has been playing on a different level in the last four games.

Beal started the big performances with 53 points in their nine-point loss to the Chicago Bulls. Then he scored a career-high 55 points in their overtime loss to the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks. In their last game against the Brooklyn Nets, Beal droped 30 points in their win.

Against the Jazz, Thomas Bryant scored 16 points off the bench, while Rui Hachimura posted 15 points and 7 rebounds.

The Jazz improved their record to 37-22 on the season. They remain in the fifth spot in the Western Conference standings and are a game and a half behind the Houston Rockets for the fourth spot. Utah will begin a four-game road trip against the Eastern Conference that will start in Cleveland on Monday night. Tip-off is at 5 p.m. and will be broadcast on AT&T SportsNet.
