SALT LAKE CITY – Joel Embiid scored a career-high 59 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, dished out eight assists, and blocked seven shots as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Utah Jazz 105-98.

Embiid is the first player ever to record that stat line, and proved to be too much for the Jazz to handle.

With the loss, the Jazz dropped back-to-back games for the first time all season.

First Quarter

The Jazz jumped out to a quick 13-6 lead thanks to strong early three-point shooting.

Joel Embiid got the Sixers back in the game behind a 13 point first quarter on 4-9 shooting.

Lauri Markkanen led the Jazz with eight points while Collin Sexton added six off the bench.

After one the Jazz led the 76ers 30-26.

Second Quarter

The Jazz built their lead to 14 midway through the second quarter with Embiid off the floor.

However, Embiid returned at the six minute mark and quickly trimmed the lead to four.

The Jazz bench made the difference in the first half outscoring Philadelphia 31-8.

At the break, the Jazz led the Sixers 57-51.

Third Quarter

The 76ers opened the quarter on a 7-0 run to take a 58-57 lead as the Jazz were slow to get back in transition.

Philadelphia led by as much as four, but when Embiid went to the bench, the Jazz rebuilt their four-point lead.

Malik Beasley scored eight in the quarter for the Jazz while Embiid added nine for the 76ers.

After three the Jazz and 76ers were tied at 78.

Fourth Quarter

The Jazz took a 94-92 lead midway through the quarter while Joel Embiid got a small rest at the six minute mark, but quickly returned to the floor.

However, Embiid returned and the Jazz had no answers down the stretch.

The center finished with 59 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and seven blocks. Embiid scored 24 points and blocked five shots in the quarter alone.

The Jazz fell to the 76ers 105-98.
