SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Welcome to KSL Sports Game Day as the Utah Jazz face the Indiana Pacers in an early matinee game.

The Jazz are looking to end their road trip a perfect 3-0 after earning wins in Atlanta and Charlotte on Thursday and Friday night.

The Pacers meanwhile are looking to end their two-game losing streak and stop their slide having lost four of their last five meetings against the red-hot Jazz.

Follow this page throughout the day for updates on pregame coaches’ quotes, starting lineups, and thoughts and highlights throughout the game.

Coaches Availability

The Pacers allow the best three-point shooting percentage in the NBA, despite allowing the seventh-fewest attempts. Meanwhile, the Jazz are top three in attempts and lead the league in three-point percentage. Coach Nate Bjorkgren discussed how Indiana can slow the Jazz down before the game.

“We’ve got to disrupt some of their passes to their to their shooters,” Bjorkgren said. “Get some deflections going, make it so they just can’t pass it right into their shooting pocket of where they want it. We have to fight them off screens, we have to be more physical in beating them to their spots. So there’s a there’s a number of different things that factor into that.”

The Jazz will be without Mike Conley for the first time this season after suffering hamstring tightness in his right leg. Quin Snyder wouldn’t elaborate on the injury.

“He’s out today, and we hope to have him back as soon as possible,” Snyder said. “But that’s going to be dependent on the progress he makes.”

Starting Lineups

First Quarter

  • Pacers open the game with four made threes and lead the Jazz 12-6. Jazz going to need to stick closer with Indiana’s floor spacers.

  • The ball is moving a lot better with this late lineup from the Jazz with Mitchell, Clarkson, O’Neale, Niang, and Favors. Jazz getting good looks from three as a result.
  • The ball was sticking early in the game so the Jazz will have to hope that passing is contagious.

Second Quarter

  • Miye Oni can REALLY defend. Gets beat and recovers, good closeouts, great rebounder. He’s impressive.
  • Favors is kicking the ball out to the perimeter well in this game. Jazz getting open threes off his passes. He leads the team at +9.
  • Jazz end the first half with some rhythm with the starters back on the floor and are knotted up with the Pacers at 47 points apiece. Tough second half ahead to end the road trip. Donovan Mitchell leads the Jazz with 16.

Third Quarter

  • Watching to see if the Jazz can generate an explosive stretch of three-point shooting to give themselves some breathing room.
  • They’re 9-23 in the first half which is good but could use a crazy stretch to blow the game open because I don’t know if they have much else going.

  • The Jazz haven’t had to grind many games out this season, especially over the last month. This is going to be a good test down the stretch and will be beneficial for the season.
  • Everybody looks gassed, but Donovan Mitchell is keeping the Jazz ahead.

Fourth Quarter

  • Jazz get the lead up to 81-71, their biggest of the game.
  • Jordan Clarkson is up to 25 minutes, and my theory on him is after 25 minutes his play really drops off.
  • Exhaustion starting to set in as the Pacers have cut the lead to just 4 points mostly off hustle points.

  • Bojan Bogdanovic hits a three then gets T’d up for taunting apparently. Then Ingles hits a much needed three. Jazz lead the Pacers 94-86 with 3:49 left in the game.
  • Gobert’s pressure on the rim in the fourth quarter has been tremendous and has 15 points on 7-9 shooting.
