SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Four Jazz players combined for 105 points and led Utah to a season series sweeping victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Jazz hosted the Bucks at Vivint Arena on Friday, February 12.

Four-Headed Monster

Jordan Clarkson, Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles, and Donovan Mitchell each score at least 25 points and combined for the 105 of Utah’s total in a 129-115 win over Milwaukee.

With the win, the Jazz reached their best start in franchise history.

The Jazz were led by Ingles and Gobert, who each scored 27 points. 27 points tied Ingles’ career-high.

Gobert dominated both ends of the floor. He helped control the Bucks’ offense and limited the impact of the two-time league MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Gobert ended the contest with a double-double. In addition to his scoring, Gobert had 12 rebounds and four blocks.

Mitchell scored 26 points and excelled as a point guard making plays for the Jazz. He finished the game with six boards and a game-high eight assists.

Clarkson continued to further his case for the league’s Sixth Man of the Year honor. He scored 25 points on 10-18 shooting.

Game Flow

After a close first quarter, which ended with the Jazz holding a four-point advantage, Utah took control of the game in the second quarter.

The Jazz went into the locker room at halftime with a 69-52 lead.

After the break, Milwaukee made a few pushes but Utah maintained control through the final 24 minutes of action and rolled to the 14-point win.

Deer Not Feared

Utah finished the contest shooting 52.4 percent overall and 36.8 percent from downtown.

The Jazz kept Antetokounmpo and the rest of the Bucks in check and never let Milwaukee get on a roll.

Milwaukee ended up shooting 45.7 percent from the field, including 36.4 percent from three.

With the game in hand, Antetokounmpo scored 17 of his 29 points during the fourth quarter. He also had 15 rebounds, six assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Brook Lopez scored 23 points and Khris Middleton added 18 points.

Up Next

With the win, the Jazz improved their NBA-best record to 21-6.

Utah’s next game is against the Miami Heat on Saturday, February 13 at 7 p.m. (MDT).
