Donovan Mitchell Ends First Quarter Of All-Star Game With Alley-Oop Dunk

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell threw down a wide open alley-oop dunk late in the first quarter of the NBA All-Star game in Atlanta, Georgia.

The two-time All-Star Donovan Mitchell was on the fast break for Team Durant with 8 seconds left in the first quarter when New York Knicks forward Julius Randle threw a lob to the Jazz guard, who finished with a dunk.
That cut Team LeBron’s lead to 40-39, which was the score at the end of the first quarter.

Mitchell finished the first quarter with 4 points for Team Durant. His backcourt teammate Mike Conley didn’t appear in the game until the second quarter. Mitchell also had two rebounds and one assist. Rudy Gobert plays for Team LeBron, which is coached by Quin Snyder. Gobert had six points and two rebounds in the first quarter.
Mitchell had a busy Sunday as he participated in the NBA Three-Point Contest, where he finished tied for fourth with Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine with 22 points. Mike Conley appeared in the final and nearly won the event but Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry hit his money ball shot to win the three-point contest.
