Donovan Mitchell Becomes Fourth-Fastest Active Player To Score 7,000 Points

SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell became the fourth-fastest active NBA player to score 7,000 points in their career.
Mitchell reached the mark early in Utah’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers hosted the Jazz on Sunday, December 5. It was Mitchell’s 300th career game.
With 10:34 left in the opening quarter, Mitchell made a driving layup to hit the mark.

Mitchell is the fourth-fastest active player to score 7,000 points. The only players to score 7,000 career points quicker were LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Kevin Durant.
The fifth-year guard is the third-fastest Jazzman to reach the mark. Only Adrian Dantley and Pete Maravich scored 7,000 points in fewer games.

This season, Mitchell is averaging 23.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game.
