Salt Lake Bees Opening 2021 Season With Limited Capacity

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — The Salt Lake Bees are welcoming a small number of fans back to Smith’s Ballpark this year, starting with their home opener on May 6 against the Reno Aces.
Last year’s season was abruptly canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Approximately 3,200 fans will be allowed in the stands and must adhere to safety guidelines set by Major League Baseball and local health and government officials. This includes the wearing of masks for all fans over the age of 2.
In an effort to maintain social distancing, tickets will be sold to groups of two, four or six seats.
The 2021 Triple-A season was originally set to begin on Thursday but was delayed by a month due to safety protocols. Because of the delay, the Bees have an updated schedule consisting of 120 games instead of the original 142 games.

Additionally, the team will play a later season than usual with plans to go past Labor Day.
Team officials said they want fans to feel safe as they attend each game. They have partnered with Alsco to provide plenty of hand sanitizer, masks, gloves and “hospital-grade cleaning solutions” to guests and staff at the stadium.
In addition to smaller crowds and increased sanitizing efforts, the Bees are taking ticketing completely mobile with scanners at each entrance of the ballpark. Once inside, all concessions and merchandise must be purchased by debit, credit or mobile payments for a cashless experience.
Single-game tickets will go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online or by calling 801-325-2337. There are plenty of chances to see the Bees play as they begin their season with 12-straight home games, but tickets may go quickly due to the limited capacity.
