Vaughn will join a Vikings team that finished with a 14-3 record in 2024.
Minnesota’s secondary was elite last season. They had as many interceptions as touchdowns allowed. The next closest team to that ratio was the Lions, who had two more touchdowns allowed than interceptions. However, they had eight fewer picks than the Vikings.
The team will officially enter the JJ McCarthy era in 2025 with an abundance of young playmakers on both sides of the ball.
Vaughn has the tools to be a real difference maker in both man and zone coverage. He put on a show at pro day and also has plenty of tape showing that he can outrun, outpower, and outsmart wide receivers.
Zemaiah Vaughn out of the University of Utah had himself a very nice day. At 6’3, he jumped a 39.5 vertical (highest mark of DB group in attendance) & displayed great movement skills in drills.
