Jets QB Zach Wilson Throws First Touchdown Pass In NFL Debut Against Panthers

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU and current New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson tossed the first touchdown pass of his NFL career during Week 1 against the Carolina Panthers.
The Panthers hosted the Jets on Sunday, September 12.
With 1:25 remaining in the the third quarter, Wilson connected with a wide-open Corey Davis for 22 yards and six points.
Wilson’s throw gave the Jets their first points of the game.
After the touchdown, Wilson ran in a two-point conversion to cut Carolina’s lead to 16-8.

Wilson was 4/4 passing for 57 yards and the score on the drive.
The touchdown capped an eight-play, 70-yard drive that lasted 4:40.
After the score the Jets rookie was 13/26 passing for 150 yards, one touchdown, and an interception.
