SALT LAKE CITY – It’s officially NFL Draft season, and former Corner Canyon star Jaxson Dart will likely be one of the first quarterbacks selected in Green Bay next week.
Some mock drafts have the Ole Miss QB going as high as ninth overall, while others see him as a second-rounder. Let’s take a look at his stock and what the most likely scenario is.

Jaxson Dart Draft Background: Path To The Pros
Dart was born in Kaysville, Utah, where he eventually attended Roy High School. Just before his senior year, he transferred to Corner Canyon.
In 2020 with the Chargers, Dart threw for 4,691 yards and a state-record 67 touchdowns. As a four-star prospect, he committed to USC.
He played just six games with the Trojans, where he completed 117 of his 189 pass attempts for 1,353 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions. On the ground, Dart ran the ball 22 times for 43 yards and two touchdowns.

Dart packed up his bags and went from Los Angeles to Oxford for his sophomore season.
He closed out his collegiate career playing in 39 games for the Rebels with 38 starts. He completed 735 of his 1118 attempts for 10,617 yards and 72 touchdowns.
Ole Miss went 28-10 with Dart at the helm, including a Peach Bowl win in 2024 and a Gator Bowl win in 2025.
Dart’s college accolades include Gator Bowl MVP, 2024 Conerly Trophy Winner, 2024 All-America Honorable Mention, 2024 All-SEC First Team, 2024 CFN SEC QB of the Year, 2024 Manning Award Finalist, and 2024 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Finalist.

Where Will Dart Land In The Draft?
For much of the pre-draft process, Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders have been seen as the clear No. 1 and No. 2 in the quarterback pool.
That has shifted recently, with some people putting Dart ahead of Sanders in their mocks.
Regardless of the order, the Ole Miss QB is very likely to go in the first round. NFL teams who are likely to be in the market for a rookie shot-caller are the New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, and Cleveland Browns. Other dark-horse teams to keep an eye on are the Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Rams.
Ironically, ESPN NFL Insiders Adam Schefter and Field Yates reported that Dart had visited all of those teams, specifically spending “considerable time” in New York, New Orleans, and Los Angeles.
Sources: Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart visited today with the Cleveland Browns, and will next fly to Las Vegas to visit the Raiders, sources tell me and @FieldYates.

Four of these teams hold top-ten picks. Cleveland holds the No. 2 overall pick, New York picks third, Las Vegas picks sixth, and New Orleans is at No. 9. The Rams are the odd team out with their highest selection being at 26th.
The Browns and Giants would likely be reaching by selecting Dart with a top-three pick. The Raiders also just brought in Geno Smith from Seattle and promptly threw a two-year, $75 million deal his way.
With all of this in mind, some mock drafts have Dart getting picked by the Saints at nine, while others project a trade from one of the other four teams to jump back into the first round.
This is probably the most likely scenario — either New Orleans takes a flyer in the top ten, or he gets selected after a team trades for a second first-round pick.
