SALT LAKE CITY – Utah defensive end Connor O’Toole will get his chance to prove himself at the next level after signing an undrafted free agent deal with the Seattle Seahawks.
The deal was first announced by Utah Football on Saturday, April 26.

O’Toole will join a Seahawks team that finished with a 10-7 record in 2024.
Seattle had a middle-of-the-pack rush defense but made up for it with a top-ten pass defense. If O’Toole makes the final roster, he will be able to contribute in both areas.
According to NFL Insider Tom Pelissero, the deal includes $264,000 guaranteed.

Seattle is known for going all in on its defense. They used just one pick in the draft on a front-seven player, which was Notre Dame DT Rylie Mills in the fifth round.
Ahead of O’Toole on the edge are DeMarcus Lawrence and Leonard Williams. Both of those guys are seasoned veterans who can help the former Ute get accustomed to the NFL game.
About Connor O’Toole
O’Toole was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and attended La Cueva High School, where he was rated as the No. 1 recruit in the state.
He joined the Utah Football program as a wide receiver in 2020. After no action in his first year and limited opportunity in 2021, O’Toole transitioned to the defensive line in 2022.
On the other side of the ball, he really found his calling. O’Toole recorded 104 total tackles (52 solo), 15 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, four pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery across three seasons and 30 games on Utah’s defense.
He missed considerable time in 2023 and 2024 with injuries, but his impact when healthy can’t be understated.
