Two Utah NFL locals are working back from injuries and looking to help the Buffalo Bills contend for a Super Bowl berth in the 2025 season.
Former Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid and former Weber State defensive back Taron Johnson both suffered injuries in 2024, but should be ready to go for week one in September.
The #Bills have two key starters working their way back from injury. CB Taron Johnson tore his labrum in the playoffs and required offseason surgery, while TE Dalton Kincaid played through injuries to both knees in 2024. https://t.co/saD6Exyf3y

Johnson tore the labrum in his left shoulder and needed surgery to repair it this offseason. As a rookie in 2018, he went through the same injury on the other side. Johnson has participated in OTAs but is limited to non-contact.
Kincaid was unfortunate enough to suffer injuries to both of his knees within a two-month span. In week 10, he sprained the PCL in his left knee, which resulted in him missing three weeks. In week 16, he dealt with a Morel‑Lavallée Lesion in his right knee, a fluid accumulation beneath the skin. He didn’t require surgery this offseason and is already back to work in the weight room and in OTAs.
The Bills are hopeful that both players can return to full health as they eye another deep playoff run in 2025.
Plenty of discussion surrounding Dalton Kincaid’s body composition entering his third professional season. OC Joe Brady said earlier Tuesday that Kincaid has “lived” in #Bills weight room this offseason #BillsMafia pic.twitter.com/5oSV53fQrg

Kincaid regressed a bit from year one to year two. However, some of that drop can be attributed to the mid-season injuries. In 13 games played, he reeled in 44 receptions for 448 yards and two touchdowns.
Johnson was rock-solid all year and shined as one of Buffalo’s best defensive playmakers. He recorded 65 total tackles (42 solo), one sack, one forced fumble and fumbe recovery, two interceptions, one pick-six, and five pass breakups.
