SALT LAKE CITY – The opening ceremony for the XXIV Olympic Winter Games will take place in Beijing and will feature the lighting of the Olympic cauldron and the parade of nations.

USA Flag Bearers
Elana Meyers Taylor (Bobsledding) and John Shuster (Curling) were chosen to represent Team USA as flag bearers for the opening ceremony.
Brittany Bowe (Speedskating) will walk alongside Shuster instead of Meyers Taylor, who is currently in quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19 following her arrival in Beijing.
