Candace Parker Will Be First Female Color Commentator For NBA All-Star Game

SALT LAKE CITY – WNBA star Candace Parker will make history in Salt Lake City at All-Star weekend. Parker will become the first female in-game color commentator for the 72nd NBA All-Star game.

Parker is the perfect candidate for the job. Since 2018, Parker has covered NBA games on TNT and NBA TV and for the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

WNBA All-Star Candace Parker

Former MVP Candace Parker recently announced that she would sign with the defending champion Las Vegas Aces.

Parker spent the last two seasons playing for her hometown Sky, leading Chicago to the WNBA championship in 2021.

Drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks in 2008, she became the first WNBA player to win MVP in their rookie season. Parker is widely considered one of the greatest female basketball players of all time.

Parker will join Brian Anderson, Reggie Miller, and Dennis Scott on the coverage team at the All-Star game. She has a lot of experience surrounding her. Anderson, Miller, and Scott have worked a combined 19 All-Star games.

Also, another person covering All-Star weekend is none other than KSL’s own Mariluz Cook. Cook will be hosting the festivities on Friday and Saturday.
