Two-Time All-Star Isaiah Thomas Signs With Salt Lake City Stars For Second Time

SALT LAKE CITY- The Salt Lake Stars, the Utah Jazz G-League affiliate, are re-acquiring two-time NBA All-Star Isaiah Thomas as the guard targets an NBA comeback at 35 years old.
This will be Isaiah Thomas’ second stint with the Stars after the Washington product played four games for Salt Lake during the 2023-2024 season.

During those four games with the Stars a year ago, Thomas averaged 32.5 points and made 25 three-pointers on a staggering 44.6% rate from beyond the arc.
In his debut for Salt Lake on March 7, 2024, Isaiah Thomas reintroduced himself to professional basketball with a 32-point, four assist, and five rebound performance.

His impressive averages during his stint with the Stars caught the attention of the Phoenix Suns, who signed him to two 10-day contracts before they decided to keep him on the roster for the remainder of the season, completing his nearly two-year attempt at an NBA comeback.
For the Suns, Thomas only made six appearances off the bench, averaging just over three minutes per game. Isaiah only scored eight points with Phoenix before once again becoming a free agent after the season.
According to Shams Charania, NBA Insider for ESPN, Isaiah Thomas is expected to make his 2024-2025 debut for the Salt Lake Stars later this week.
