Utah Fans Come Together To Put Roses On Ty Jordan, Aaron Lowe’s Graves

LOS ANGELES – On the eve of the Rose Bowl Game, one Utah football fan’s vision to honor Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe has been realized.
Georgia Wilcox is a big Utah football fan that simply wanted to pay tribute to Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe. The vision that Wilcox had came after the Pac-12 Championship game when Utah dominated Oregon for their first conference title in program history.
Wilcox met with Lowe’s mother, Donna and shared her idea of putting roses on the graves of the two Utah standouts. Donna loved the idea.
That’s when Wilcox went to work. She reached out to Utah fans by going to group pages on Facebook. Her and 16 other people raised $681. With that money, Wilcox would be able to get roses put on the graves before the “Granddaddy of them all.”

With the help of Estrella’s Flower Shop, just outside of Dallas, Texas, those flowers were delivered to the grave sites on Friday morning, the eve of the Rose Bowl Game.
“They (Estrella’s Flower Shop) were so awesome to work with,” Wilcox told KSL Sports. “They saw my vision.”
You might notice in the photos that Aaron Lowe doesn’t have a headstone. According to the Lowe family, a headstone has been ordered but not delivered, yet.
He is buried back-to-back with his best friend, Ty Jordan.
“I just felt like they needed roses,” said Wilcox. “They are two incredible young men. It’s just our way of paying tribute.”
Jordan tragically passed away on Christmas night in 2020 to an accidental gunshot wound. Lowe was shot and killed at a house party in Sugarhouse on September 26.
Utah and Ohio State will battle in the Rose Bowl Game on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 3 p.m. MT on ESPN.
