Warren Scores Second Touchdown After Boise State Special Teams Error

BOISE, ID – Utah State running back Jaylen Warren found the end zone for the second time in the game, just 6 minutes apart.

It was from two-yards out and it trimmed Boise State’s lead to 28-13 with 11:57 left in the game.
The Aggies recovered a fumble when the Broncos punter had his punt bounce off the back of his blocker. Utah State recovered at the Boise State 21-yard line.

The Aggies ran their offense through Warren once again as he found the end zone after the team went scoreless in the first half. Through the early part of fourth quarter, Warren racked up 89 yards on 22 carries and two touchdowns.
The Snow College transfer is playing in his second season with Utah State. In 2019, he dealt with injuries but managed to appear in 12 games. Warren racked up 569 yards on 112 carries and 5 touchdowns.
The season opener against Boise State was the debut of former Ute Jason Shelley at quarterback for the Aggies. Through nearly three quarters of play, Shelley went 8-for-15 passing for 54 yards. He also ran the ball 8 times for 12 yards. Former Ute Devonta’e Henry-Cole had 3 carries for 4 yards through three quarters of his debut.
The Aggies struggled in the first half, posting just 45 yards of total offense. Through the early portion of the fourth quarter, Utah State had 169 yards of total offense.
