Utah State Announces Final Mountain West Football Media Days Contingent

LOGAN, Utah – The ‘Pig Farmer’ Bryson Barnes is heading south for the star-studded lights of Las Vegas as the Utah State Aggies football team prepares for 2025.

Barnes, first-year head coach Bronco Mendenhall, and defensive lineman Gabriel Iniguez Jr. will represent the team at Mountain West football media days July 16-17.

Barnes completed 77 of 126 passes for six touchdowns and 856 yards in nine games in 2024. He set a single-game school record for rushing yards by a QB with 193 yards and a TD on 15 carries against San Diego State in November.

Iniquez Jr. earned All-Mountain West Honorable Mention after starting 12 games for USU as a junior. He ended the year with 29 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, and two quarterback hurries.

Mendenhall made his name in Utah, going 99-43 record in 11 seasons leading the BYU Cougars. He is 140-88 in 18 seasons as a college head coach.

Utah State kicks off the 2025 season on Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium on Saturday, August 30. Kickoff against the UTEP Miners is at 5:30 p.m. MT.
