Former Aggie Jon Wickizer Passes Away At 51 Years Old

LOGAN, Utah – Former Utah State Aggie basketball player Jon Wickizer passed away unexpectedly on January 21 at 51 years old.
Utah State announced the news on Tuesday, February 4.

About Jon Wickizer
Following a spectacular prep career at Woods Cross High School, Wickizer became a four-year letterwinner with the Aggies (1993-96).
The big man wasted no time becoming an integral part of the team, earning Big West Conference all-freshman team honors his first season in Logan. He helped lead Utah State to a 21-8 record in 1994-95 and an NIT berth as a junior.
Wickizer started all 33 games as a senior. He averaged 8.3 points and 4.1 rebounds while knocking down 39.4 percent of his threes.
Wickizer played 111 games with the Aggies, starting 73. He totaled 690 points and 380 boards in his USU career.
Utah State takes on Wyoming
Utah State (19-3, 9-2) looks to take out their frustrations from a demoralizing home loss to New Mexico when they face the Wyoming Cowboys (11-11, 4-7) in Laramie tonight. Second behind the Lobos in the Mountain West, the Aggies beat Wyoming 70-67 in early December.
USU is 8-1 away from Logan this season and 5-1 in true road games.

Utah State trails 52-38 in the all-time series against Wyoming. The Aggies have won five straight and 11 of 13 in recent years.
