Jerrod Calhoun Lands Mountain West Transfer For Utah State Hoops

LOGAN, Utah – Retooling following a disappointing showing in the NCAA Tournament, the Utah State Aggies have added Luke Kearney to the 2025-2026 roster.
The 6’7, 215-pound forward brings a sweet perimeter stroke after averaging 8.9 points and 2.7 rebounds with the Air Force Falcons last season.

A terrific regular season ended with an NCAA Tournament dud against the UCLA Bruins. The Aggies finished 26-8 in Jerrod Calhoun’s first season at the helm.
About Luke Kearney
A two-sport athlete on the hardwood, Kearney played basketball and volleyball early in his prep career at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Phoenix, Arizona. He averaged 15 points per game as a senior at Bella Vista Prep in Scottsdale, AZ.
Kearney played on the USAFA Prep School basketball team in 2022-23.

As a freshman in 2023-24, Kearney led Falcon freshmen in scoring with 3.9 PPG. He played 20 games as a freshman, scoring a season-high 16 points on 4-of-8 shooting from deep against UNLV.
He started 22 of 32 games played as a sophomore, averaging nearly 27 minutes a night. Kearney’s 8.9 points were second on the team, and his 52 threes were the 13th most in the Mountain West. He shot 83.9 percent (47-of-56 from the free throw line.
