Southern Utah Athletics Unveils New Theme For Upcoming Season

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Southern Utah University athletic department unveiled a new theme for the Thunderbirds and the upcoming season.

SUU revealed the new theme alongside a video posted on social media on Wednesday, June 1.

The T-Birds refreshed theme is entitled, “#StormTheSky.”

According to SUU, the “#StormTheSky” theme will bring a new “look and feel to Southern Utah’s media efforts, including a social media rebranding.”

The new theme was originally designed around the school’s “Thunderbirds” mascot name but also plays nicely off of the conference to which Southern Utah belongs.

SUU is currently a member of the Big Sky Conference.

In addition to the theme, the Thunderbirds are launching a new podcast called the “Storm The Sky Podcast.” The podcast “will focus on the student-athlete experience at Southern Utah University and focus on both past and present T-Birds.”
