Iron Man TJ Haws Starts In 120th Consecutive Game Of BYU Career

PROVO, Utah – On a BYU team that has battled through a long list of injuries, senior guard TJ Haws has been reliable, and that’s putting it lightly.
Thursday night’s game against San Diego marked Haws’ 120th consecutive start in his BYU career. Haws passed Fred Roberts’ 119 consecutive starts to become second all-time for most starts in a row. The highest is from Jeff Chatman who played at BYU from 1984-1988 and had 122nd consecutive starts.

Haws could pass Chatman with starting in the next three games on the road against No. 1 Gonzaga, Pacific, and San Francisco.
During Haws’ 120th start, he had a highlight-worthy moment with a crossover on a San Diego defender then pulled up and knocked down a three.

The next major milestone in Haws’ career is reaching the top-10 all-time scorer’s list in BYU basketball history. Haws is 40 points away from tying Mekeli Wesley for 10th all-time with 1,740 career points.
