It’s the first time BYU Dining Services has rolled out a blueberry-flavored option for their specialty item at sporting events.
History of special CougarTails
The last time BYU had a specialty CougarTail at a men’s basketball game was two years ago against San Francisco in 2023. For that game, the specialty treat was chocolate.
During the 2024 football season, BYU had a vanilla-flavored CougarTail for the Kansas State game.
In 2023, BYU Dining Services offered a chocolate option for the Iowa State football game and a maple bacon-flavored option for homecoming against Texas Tech.
The 2024-25 season is the 21st year that the CougarTail has been offered at BYU sporting events.
