Former American Fork WR Chase Roberts Returns Home From Mission, Gears Up For BYU Career

PROVO, Utah – Chase Roberts put together an All-American career at American Fork High School. Now he turns his attention to a college career at BYU.
A 6-foot-4, 195-pound wide receiver, Roberts returned home after serving a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Roberts served his mission in Calgary, Canada.

Roberts wrote, “Thank you @BYUfootball it’s good to be back! Special thanks to the people in Calgary who became my family! Grateful and excited to join my new family at Brigham Young University! #GoCougs”
Chase Roberts was a high-profile recruit
An Under Armour All-American selection in his senior year at American Fork, Roberts was the fifth-highest rated recruit in the class of 2019. He was a longstanding BYU commit, but Utah made a strong push leading up to the early signing period in December of 2018 before signing with the Cougars.
Roberts racked up 3,709 receiving yards on 217 catches and had 40 receiving touchdowns in his three years with the Cavemen.
BYU is looking to replace Dax Milne, who left school early to declare for the NFL draft. The Cougars have returning starters in Gunner Romney and Neil Pau’u, but who becomes that third receiver? Roberts has an opportunity to be in the mix.
Passing Game Coordinator Fesi Sitake told KSL Sports in January that Roberts would be joining the BYU football program during summer conditioning.
BYU is currently going through spring practices that will conclude on March 26.
