Jennifer Hudson Performs Beautiful Tribute To Kobe Bryant Before NBA All-Star Game

CHICAGO, Ill. – Singer and actress Jennifer Hudson performed a beautiful tribute to the life of Kobe Bryant before the NBA All-Star game in Chicago, Illinois.

Bryant and 8 others including his daughter Gianna tragically died in a helicopter crash in Southern California on Sunday, January 26.
Hudson was introduced to the stage by Los Angeles Lakers and Hall of Famer Magic Johnson after he addressed the crowd at the United Center.
She performed “Tomorrow may never come…for all we know.”

After Hudson performed, rapper Common paid tribute to Bryant along with the Chicago natives.
That is among the many things the NBA has done leading up to the All-Star game to honor the Lakers legend and future Hall of Famer. On the NBA All-Star weekend media credentials, the league placed a photo of both NBA Commissioner Emeritus David Stern and Bryant on the back of the media passes that they distributed to the NBA media.
During All-Star Saturday night festivities, former Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade and Los Angeles Sparks forward Candace Parker started the evening by having the crowd cheer for 24.2 seconds rather than a moment of silence to honor Bryant, his daughter Gianna along with David Stern.
The NBA is honoring the life of Kobe Bryant and his daughter during the 2020 All-Star game in Chicago, Illinois. They will have Team LeBron led by Lakers star LeBron James wearing No. 2 on their uniforms to represent Gianna’s number.
Team Giannis led by Milwaukee Bucks star and reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo will wear No. 24 on their jersey’s to represent Bryant’s number that he wore for most of his career.
Also, the NBA is changing the format to the All-Star game with the winner of each quarter having money donated to the charity of that team. They will do that for the first three quarters. In the fourth quarter, they will add up the scores from the first three quarters and add on 24 points as the target score. The first team to reach that score will win the All-Star game
