Ryan Cochran-Siegle, Bryce Bennett Post Great Times In Men’s Downhill Training Session

SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster College alums Ryan Cochran-Siegle and Bryce Bennett posted great times in the first training session of the men’s downhill event.
After the first 20 racers, both Ryan Cochran-Siegle and Bryce Bennett were in the top 10. Cochran-Siegle was in eighth place at +0.96 behind the leader, who was Christof Innerhofer of Italy, posting a time of 1:44.26. Bennett was right in front of Cochran-Siegle at +0.75 behind the leader, in seventh place.
This is Cochran-Siegle’s second Winter Olympic Games after competing in the 2018 Games. He is from Burlington, Vermont but resides in Park City, Utah. Bennett is also appearing in his second Winter Olympic Games after participating in the 2018 Olympics. He is from Truckee, California and currently resides in Squaw Valley, California.

The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics
Just a year after Japan’s summer Olympics, the Games are back for a winter show in Beijing, China. The unusually short gap between Games is due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Beijing is the capital of China, with a population of more than 20 million people and the first city to host both a Summer and Winter Olympic games. It is one of the largest cities in the world and 15 hours ahead of Mountain Time. There are 13 different venues in and around Beijing that will be used for the Winter Olympics.
