SALT LAKE CITY – In the third period against St. Louis, Michael Kesselring finally broke through to score the equalizer and give Utah hope.
The Hockey Club had trailed for over 30 minutes of action and hope was starting to fade.
Just an absolute blast from deep.

Coming off of four straight losses and conceding early, it was clear that Utah was down in the dumps a bit.
St. Louis led in shots, faceoff wins, and almost every important stat.
But, all it takes is one play and Kesselring proved that. Utah won a faceoff on the right side of the ice and the puck found its way to ‘The King’.

Instead of looking to pass or move closer and giving the defense a chance to set up, he let a shot rip from long range and snuck it past the Blues goaltender.
The goal increased Kesselring’s point total on the season to 20 with six goals and 14 assists.
The Utah Hockey Club will welcome the St. Louis Blues into Delta Center for the second time this season. It will be the third time overall that the Hockey Club and Blues will face off though.
In both games, Utah came out on top with two 4-2 victories.
However, they are still without Dylan Guenther and just lost Logan Cooley. The Hockey Club’s bread and butter so far this season has been pace and a potent attack. With two top offensive talents sidelined, the Blues are looking to scale the mountain in downtown Salt Lake City on Sunday.
Before the third of four matchups between St. Louis and Utah, the two teams sat right next to one another in the standings.
With a 21-21-9 record, Utah sits fifth in the Central Division and 10th in the Western Conference. At 23-25-4, St. Louis holds the sixth spot in the division and the 11th in the conference.
The Hockey Club has an 8-11-6 record at home while the Blues are 12-12-3 on the road. Both teams came into the game on a four-game losing streak.
