SALT LAKE CITY, Utah- The Utah Hockey Club just went into the Capital One Center and defeated the Metropolitan Division-leading Washington Capitals in a shootout thanks to Nick Schmaltz and Karel Vejmelka.
The team will now get some much-needed and well-deserved rest over the 4 Nations Face-Off break and will not play another game until February 22. However, even with the break, Utah is making some roster adjustments, reassigning Forward Josh Doan to the Tucson Roadrunners.

Josh Doan spent two months with the Roadrunners earlier this year before being called up and appearing in 25 games for the Utah Hockey Club.
Doan has four goals and five assists in those games, including an active three-game point streak.
Josh played a major role in today’s win over the Washington Capitals with a goal and an assist, and over the last couple of weeks, Doan has become a key piece of the Utah Hockey Club third line.
With so much time between games, the move could just be to get Doan ice time during the break in order to keep his skills sharp and not get into a slump due to inactivity. Only time will tell, but there is a possibility that Doan could be recalled to the Utah Hockey Club before their next game.
