Professional Women’s Hockey League Players (PWHL) Hilary Knight and Mellissa Channell-Watkins will join Kerfoot in teaching four different on-ice sessions for all skill levels.
Community philanthropy is nothing new for Kerfoot. He and his wife, Marissa, have made an impact in the community by donating game tickets to female youth hockey players.
Before the game, the players and their families are invited to watch warmups from the bench, fist bump players taking ice, and talk with Kerfoot before puck drop.
Kerfoot has made community appearances with Ogden Lady Mustangs, Utah Olympic Oval Wildcats, Lady Grizzlies, Primary Children’s Hospital, Make-A-Wish, Granite Education Foundation, Utah Hockey Club Learn to Play, and Utah Hockey Club Youth since moving to Utah before the 2024-25 season.
He was honored with the club’s Community Obsessed award and was the Mammoth’s King Clancy nominee for his work growing the game in the community.
The King Clancy Memorial Trophy is awarded annually to the NHL player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and who has made a significant humanitarian contribution to his community.
The Mammoth open the 2025-26 season in Denver on Thursday, October 7, against the Colorado Avalanche. Utah drops the puck on its home slate with an October 15 tilt against the Calgary Flames.
