Utah State’s Basketball Game Against Dixie State Canceled; Aggies Look To Add Game

LOGAN, Utah – Utah State men’s basketball announced on Sunday that their game against Dixie State this week has been canceled due to COVID-19.

The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 15 at the Spectrum. Utah State canceled the game as they continue to abide by COVID-19 protocols as well as NCAA, state and University guidelines.
Utah State mentioned in their release that they will add a game to its schedule at the end of this week.
The bad news – Tuesday night's game has been canceled.

Utah State canceled their game with Weber State last week due to COVID-19. On December 2, Aggies head coach Craig Smith revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19. He didn’t coach the team in their games against BYU on Dec. 5 and College of Idaho on Dec. 8.
This season, Utah State is 2-3 on the year with wins over Northern Iowa and College of Idaho. They lost to VCU and South Dakota State at the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic before falling to BYU at home.
If the Aggies don’t schedule another non-conference game this week, they will begin Mountain West Conference play with a two-game series versus San Jose State at home beginning on Monday, Dec. 21 and Wednesday, Dec. 23.
