LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State Aggies have faced some good teams in front of electric and loud environments in their first five games of the 2021 season.

Blake Anderson and Utah State has faced Washington State on the road in the season opener in a full stadium, along with a contest at Air Force. On top of that, Maverik Stadium has been very loud and packed in their three home games against North Dakota, Boise State and BYU.

That has provided energy for the Aggies. Now that Utah State will hit the road to face UNLV in Las Vegas, the game will be played at the brand new Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

Coach Anderson joined Hans and Scotty for his weekly visit on the home of the Aggies, 97.5 FM/1280 AM The Zone on Tuesday and talked about playing in front of around 20,000 fans in a 65,000 seat stadium.

“I’m hoping our guys obviously coming off the open week and having lost a couple especially losing the way we did to BYU having it close, late and competitive and feeling like we were right there,” Anderson told The Zone Sports Network. “I’d like to think there’s a hunger in this group that just can’t wait to get back out on the field. But we’ve been really fortunate five weeks in a row, we’ve been in electric environments, our home crowds have been amazing. You get the wow factor when you walk in, the building is massive, it’s gonna be gorgeous, it’s brand new and they built it right. But, it does get to a point where you cannot fill it up. It is going to be a much different environment than what we are used to. That means you got to bring your own energy you got to show maturity that you don’t let the nature of the building take over.”

Utah State and UNLV will square off on Saturday, October 16 at 5 p.m. MT on CBS Sports Network and 97.5 FM/1280 AM The Zone.
