BYU, Utah Make Top Schools Cut For Bishop Gorman Edge Rusher

SALT LAKE CITY – BYU and Utah are in the mix for one of the top recruits from Nevada.
Bishop Gorman High’s Prince Williams, an edge rusher prospect in the class of 2026, revealed his top-five schools. The Cougs and Utes made the cut.

Fellow Big 12 foe Arizona made the top five, along with Miami and Wisconsin.

“I would like to give all praise to my Heavenly Father for blessing me and my family with numerous opportunities,” wrote Williams on X.
Williams also added a date for when he plans to make his final commitment decision.
“With that being said, I will be finding my home July 4th, let’s go!”

Notable programs that extended offers to Williams but didn’t make the Top 5 cut include defending Big 12 champion Arizona State, Florida, Iowa State, Tennessee, and UCLA.
Williams visited BYU and Utah on unofficial visits during the spring. He intends to visit both during the summer.

The 6-foot-3, 255-pound edge rusher is a three-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings and is the third-ranked prospect from Nevada in the class of 2026.

Big-time stats at Nevada powerhouse Bishop Gorman
MaxPreps lists Williams recording 166 tackles, an eye-popping 52 tackles for loss, and 21 sacks over the past two seasons at the Nevada powerhouse, Bishop Gorman.
Williams was selected as an Under Armour All-American in the 2025 game this past January.
Bishop Gorman has a game this upcoming season against a program from the state of Utah. Lone Peak will travel to Las Vegas to take on the Gaels on September 5. We will see between now and then if either BYU or Utah can land the rising edge rusher.
