SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Hockey Club announced the signing of forward Noel Nordh to a multi-year entry-level contract.
The team announced the deal on Monday, June 17. Nordh is the organization’s first-ever official signing.

Nordh’s deal is an entry-level contract for three years. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed by the team.

Nordh is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound forward who is only 19 years old.

The Soderhamn, Sweden native was originally selected by the Arizona Coyotes with the No. 72 overall pick during the 2023 NHL Draft. He was the eighth pick of the the third round.
Nordh most recently played for Brynäs IF of the Swedish Hockey League and Brynäs IF J20 of J20 Nationell during the 2023-24 season.
While playing for Brynäs IF, Nordh recorded six goals and nine assists in 50 games. He also posted six penalty minutes. With Brynäs IF J20, the forward had 10 goals and 12 assists in 15 appearances. Nordh’s recorded four PIM with Brynäs IF J20.
He helped Brynäs IF win the HockeyAllsvenskan championship in 2023-24.

At the 2023 IIHF U18 World Championship, the new Utah Hockey Club forward played in seven contests and registered 3-2-5 while helping his native Sweden win the silver medal.
On June 13, Nordh’s draft rights were officially transferred from the Coyotes to the Utah Hockey Club after Smith Entertainment Group officially closed its deal with the NHL and acquired the league’s newest franchise.

Utah will begin its inaugural season as an NHL team in the fall. The team will play its home games at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
